The 3rd Chatroom Meeting was a success! :w00t: A lot of people showed up, which was just pure awesome. Here's the summary of the chatroom meeting for you to read, as well as the cleaned log (non-Group-related talk omitted).

Summary

:bulletblue: =Eitvys200 asked about the Members privclass in the chat room: do we really need it? The Members privclass is for Members of the Group, but they don't really show up in the chat room. This privclass could be renamed "regulars" and the people who come to the chatroom often could be moved to this privclass. People would ask a Co-Founder to move them to the privclass, and the Co-Founder would assess if they have been here long/often enough (no set time).

:bulletblue: ~BMRG14 asked how to get the text to show the right way in the Persian (and other right-to-left languages) translations. Notes had been sent before for the other translators of right-to-left languages to share their solutions, but as the problem hasn't been solved yet, a Hot Topic Announcement is to be posted to discuss this.

:bulletblue: =sockhiddenunderrock and ~LG-Nimbus suggested that translators translate things outside of the FAQ. =sockhiddenunderrock suggested we offer commissions for this, while ~LG-Nimbus said members could suggest what to translate and translators would then choose what seems the most useful. However, as the translators are already very busy with translating the FAQ and their lives outside of the Group, so they should focus on translating the FAQ.

:bulletblue: ~BMRG14 asked if the dA staff knew about us. They do, and they let us exist as long as we do not try to pass off our translations as official. However, the dA staff isn't going to provide official translations of the FAQ, as the official position is that Google Translate is good enough.

:bulletblue: pwassonne asked, What if a translator wants to crosspost their translations to another Group / another part of dA? Since the translations are the translator's work, they can be posted elsewhere, but then the translator should link back to the Group. This should be said in our FAQ and in the Tips for Translators post.

:bulletblue: Translators seem to forget to update the TIP forum. We should advertise it more and maybe ask if the instructions are clear enough. Keep reminding people about it in the newsletters and ask them if the instructions are clear enough. Tell them that if they have any questions, they should not be afraid to ask.

:bulletblue: People asked whether we were a Super Group / were going to become one. We aren't a Super Group, and while we would like to become one, we can't really pay for it right now. ^ValaSedai said she had wished for it in the #dAWishingWell, so all we have to do is wait. We also considered the idea of setting up a donation pool to pay for SuperGroup-ness using one of ~thatindividual's old accounts, but we need to wait until he's back.

:bulletblue: Master Copies are not to be used anymore. =Daghrgenzeen locked them and hid them. If you need help with formatting and posting your translations, please see the corresponding tutorials in the Admin Area Forums.

:bulletblue: =Eitvys200 suggested we add a standard text at the bottom of every translation, like we have at the top. It could include links to the main language journal and the Group's main page. Such links are already in the top text, and people have already edited all their translations to add the top text, so adding more standard text now would perhaps be a bit much.

:bulletblue: The Group needs more promotion! Anyone is welcome to advertise or promote it on their personal pages or Journals. We've been featured by many awesome people. =Eitvys200 suggested we promote the Group on the dA Forums, which we did.

:bulletblue: The Group avatar / icon is hopefully going to change soon as well, so that the Group's name would be on it. This way when people see the icon, they'll immediately know what the icon is referring to - right now it's a little bit ambigious.

:bulletblue: Fayerin asked how the Group was born, and although Daghrgenzeen replied to this question, we would like to dig into this deeper; thus, we will ask Farand for a more thorough answer, and post the answer to our FAQ.

:bulletblue: dully101 asked if there are other ways to help the Group than translating / proof-reading, and we replied that yes, there are! Promoting the Group is of course one way; and then you can suggest us non-English, dA-related tutorials!

:bulletblue: dully101 also asked if we are ever going to have "fun" chatroom meetings, but for now we have no ideas for such fun meetings - the Group has no contests, as a contest related to our theme (non-English Deviants and helping them) is not easy to come up with, for example. If you do have any ideas though, please share!

:bulletblue: Lastly, Fayerin asked if we are going to have chatroom meetings like this one again, and the answer to that is yes, we will! We will try to hold a meeting like this every 2 to 3 months! The chatroom is, however, always available to everyone!
